A lightweight bill book for everyday work
A small service business may issue only a handful of invoices in a week. In that situation, opening a large accounting package for every document can add unnecessary steps. FreeBiller offers a simpler workflow: enter business details, describe the work, set quantities and prices, review the total, and download a copy. You remain responsible for keeping a complete record of the sale and any payment that follows.
Think of the online bill book as a convenient working area rather than your permanent ledger. When you download, print or share through the editor, the app keeps a recent document in browser history. The history view retains up to ten entries. That short list helps you reopen recent work, but it is not an unlimited archive or a replacement for the records your business must keep.
What saved in the browser means
Drafts and the recent invoice list are stored using the browser’s local storage on the device you are using. Another computer, another browser profile or a private browsing session does not automatically see those documents. If you clear site data, reset the browser, or lose access to the device, the stored copy may disappear. FreeBiller does not provide account recovery for local drafts.
Open My documents to review the recent list and restore an invoice into its editor. A restored document can be changed before another copy is produced, so keep the issued version separately if you need to show exactly what was sent. Use a folder naming scheme that includes your own document number. Back up exported files using a storage method that you control.
No signup and a mobile workflow
There is no account creation step before using the billing editor. On a phone, the interface separates editing from preview and download so you can concentrate on the fields first. On a larger screen, the bill preview sits alongside the form. Both views use the same underlying document data, rather than asking you to re-enter an invoice for a different screen size.
The website loads over the internet and some page resources come from third parties. No offline-installation guarantee is made. PDF generation takes place in the browser; printing and sharing options depend on your device. Before relying on a mobile workflow during a busy day, try one ordinary document, open the downloaded file, and check that your chosen print or sharing destination works.
Billing features and honest limits
The tool includes editable item lines, quantities, prices, tax percentages, discounts, notes and several invoice layouts. It can help produce a clear standard GST invoice document when you supply the correct information. It does not validate registration numbers, choose tax classifications, determine place of supply or generate an IRN. A formatted PDF is not proof that every tax requirement has been met.
There is no stock management, purchase ledger, payroll module, cloud sync, multi-user permission system or automated GST return filing. Changing a line item does not update an inventory count elsewhere. Two people using different devices will not see a shared live bill book. If you need those capabilities, use a suitable accounting or inventory product alongside, or instead of, this document tool.
Choosing an appropriate workflow
Use this service when the task is to prepare a document you can review and retain yourself. Establish invoice numbering outside the app, check the commercial details, and save the exported PDF before moving to the next customer. For business reporting, reconcile those files against your own payment and accounting records. That separation keeps the convenience of a quick browser tool without confusing it with a managed accounting service.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a download or registration fee?
No. The browser tools can be used without a paid installation or account signup. Your own internet, printing and storage costs still apply.
Where can I find my saved invoices?
Open My documents in the same browser profile and device. The recent history holds up to ten documents saved through the editor’s export or print actions.
Will my bill book sync to my phone?
No. Browser storage is local to a device and browser profile. Export and transfer the PDF yourself if you need it elsewhere.
Does FreeBiller track stock or purchases?
No. It prepares billing documents. It does not manage stock balances, purchase orders, supplier accounts or inventory valuation.
Can I use it for government e-invoicing?
No. FreeBiller does not submit invoice data to an IRP, generate IRN or supply the government e-invoice QR. Keep any required e-invoicing workflow separate.
