Four layouts, one set of editable details
The Standard layout keeps supplier, customer and item information in a familiar arrangement. Classic gives the document heading more emphasis. Modern uses a stronger header treatment, while Minimal reduces visual decoration. The previews are examples with labelled sample details and do not represent completed sales.
Select Use this template to open the GST bill editor with that layout selected. The same information can be reviewed in another layout later. A design labelled shop, GST or cash memo does not determine the legal status of the document. Check the heading and content before sending it.
Shop bills, tax invoices and cash memos
A shop bill often needs short, recognisable item descriptions and an easy-to-find total. A GST tax invoice needs the particulars relevant to the supplier and supply. A cash memo is commonly used as a record of a cash sale, but calling a document a cash memo does not remove applicable tax or record-keeping duties.
FreeBiller does not choose the correct tax category for a sale or submit documents to the GST system. If a required field or breakdown cannot be expressed adequately in the chosen layout, use a more appropriate system. Keep an exported copy of the actual document you issue rather than relying on a preview or browser draft.
Frequently asked questions
Does choosing a layout change tax calculations?
No. Layout selection changes the presentation. Item values, tax percentages and totals still come from the details entered in the editor.
Can I change a template after entering my bill?
Yes. Use the layout selector in the editor and review the new preview. Download the version you intend to issue.
